All I know is that I generally avoid any new thing they do, if I possibly can. They're usually buggered up and only fixed after they've been released and people complain.

Y'know, I bet if they took a vote, and one of the choices was "74,000 different formats that violate every principle of efficient interface design and that *frequently* crash, freeze, fail to deliver comments" and the other one was "10 formats with 99.9999% uptime and functionally consistent interface" then most people would pick Door #2.

I quite like it, and I usually beta-test their stuff. I like giving them feedback of the good and the bad (the latter usually due to running three different browsers at work, home, and for different logins).

I'm glad they have thumbnails for all the different themes now, but it took me a while to find out how to just display the themes. I'll have to tell them to make that simpler.

Yes, I quite like exploring the new capabilities and all the new themes available. It seems alot easier to customize some of the colours etc., though not for all of the themes.

I'll probably try to give them some feedback as well.

I'd like to be able to control the order of the sidebar items. I believe in the old customization, you were able to. Or maybe it's one of the new ones...argh now I forgot since I've played with so many today. B

I don't think you can change any colours on Expressive. I really liked all the features of Component--you could change all the colours, and pick and choose what you wanted in the sidebar and in what order, but sadly--as I discovered at work on a slower connection--it's really slow to load. I have yet to fond another layout I like as much so I'm back with fast and efficient Punquin with custom links on the sidebar. Smooth Sailing is quite nice but I like icons rather than text-based navigation for thing like memming and editing.

I'm actually back to my original Opal one now. I like how the summary list shows up on that one. But there are quite a few of the new ones I like too. I might play around with them tonight and pick an new theme for my LJ.

I had noticed it - but had enough problems with my layout - and now know how to add things to my left border - so I daren't touch it!! LOL

I'm sticking with what I have for a while, it took a while to work out all the colours and it suits me (I may change the background picture if I can find just what I want)

Now that does sound like a good idea - I could never work out if there was any way to change the old one except by saving, then going back and fiddling some more, then saving, then...

Arrrgghh.

It's not that clever. You can only preview your LJ in a theme, but you can't preview further changes as far as I know.

I still haven't found a theme with all the features I want except for Component which is horrendously slow.
