My heart is heavy as I write this. Gremlin...died last night.

It was shortly after he was put into bed. We rushed him to the Veternary Hospital but there was no hope, there was no breathing or heart beat.

I'm in shock and can't sleep. It was so unexpected.

I look at his pictures and keep crying. Everywhere I turn, there is Gremlin stuff, even in the fridge. He was my beautiful baby and he brought great joy to our lives. He had a long and wonderful life (15 years) and I will miss him terribly. Nothing will be the same without him. I hope he's in a better place now.

Here are some pictures of him I wanted to share. I will post more as I go through his pictures.

7th-Jun-2010 10:10 pm (UTC) - Hope from kids who have near-death experiences
Anonymous
So very sorry. Stayed home from work in 1995 and cried in bed all day for a lost cat in 1995. Bird died, too. Know how it feels.

In books about near death experiences, kids who go through the tunnel to the light report that their dead pets, unlike dead relatives and friends, come into the tunnel to greet the children. I doubt if kids can pretend these reports.

I had a dream after my mother's bird died: I was beneath my balconey, and his cage was outside above me. The radio was playing - I don't play music - and some woman was singing: "Love came forever, love came forever, with you." Love came for ever for Gremlin with you, and for ever for you with Gremlin.

Hope this helps.

With sympathy,
Peg

I would like to believe that's true. Thanks for sharing. It does help.
