What We Like About Them (Copied from kerravongenius)

I think we should all do this about whatever our fannish bliss is at the moment. Lets make it so that today it is impossible to turn around on LJ without running into a list of joy about some show or another. Who's with me? C'mon, I challenge you. A list of ten things that you love about your current fandom(s) posted to LJ and a challenge to all of your f'list to do the same.

Avon. I didn't really fall in love with Blake's 7 until the second episode, which coincidentally ;) was the first appearance of Avon. The first episode was very good and held great potential. But it was the addition of Avon which made things infinitely more interesting.
Avon and Blake. Such a complex relationship. Full of love and hate. Loathing and respect. Suspicion and great trust. At times they are like brothers who share an understanding the others do not. At other times Avon can't wait to be rid of Blake. Their conversations/interactions are often like pitched battles. Lots of fun.
Avon and Servalan. (Another complex relationship) Their one goal is to kill one another but when they are together the sparks fly. They are obsessed with killing each other but they would mourn each others passing. They are like two sides of the same coin; darkness and inexplicable glimmers of humanity.
Avon and Vila. (Such a wealth of complex relationships) There is no respect between these two but they know each other's value and respect each other's abilities; therein lies a trust and a relationship.
Vila. A thief and a reluctant hero when he needs to be. Vila is the ordinary man put in extraordinary circumstances who only does heroic things reluctantly, or if wild horses drag him.
Liberator and Zen. The wonderful, magnificent ship. The perfect ship for a reluctant band of heroes; providing for all their needs when the whole universe seems to be against them. Not often do you mourn the passing of a ship.
ORAC. Arrogant. Annoying. Always seeming to know more than it tells. Technology with attitude. Love it!
The world of Blake's 7. No safe world where everything is black and white. An infinitely more interesting world. A complex world for complex heroes.
The dialogue. Avon gets the best lines. Vila doesn't do too badly either.
Avon and Cally. Are there no simple relationships in Blake's 7? Well this definitely isn't one either.
