I am now cast-less! Yay!

Went to the fracture clinic yesterday and the bone is healing fine. It hurts more now that the cast is off but I understand that's normal. So now I have exercises to do to regain mobility. It's amazing how swollen it can become after 3 weeks in a cast and not just the foot, my calf too.

I've moved my flight up to tomorrow because the baby came 2 weeks early but found out we can't take the dog with us. For some reason on that plane between Nov-March, they're not taking pets =P It's been hectic this morning trying to find a place to put the dog while I'm away. Fortunately our vet, who normally boards him, was willing to take him on short notice.

EDIT: My father has offered to take the dog until I get back so it looks as if Gremlin will be going with him.

I think that they put pets in the (unheated) cargo hold, which is not a very friendly place during the winter.

Ah, that would make sense.

AWWWW! I wish I could take care of Gremlin :-) Z says she'd never give him back. Have a fun time, Aunty Kal :-)

YAY YAY YAY cast-free-ness! *offers cookies*

Yay - what a great way to lose a few pounds in weight!

Glad Gremlin is settled - Jiffy goes to doggy-sitters and they (and another couple) run an emergency service.

Does Jiffy like being at the dog-sitters?

He has been to the same couple each time - and it is home-from-home. A large garden, a box of toys, and sometimes another dog to play with.

I think he also likes the chance to organise someone else!

It *used* to be that if you bought first class tickets & made arrangements ahead of time a dog or cat small enough to be in an underseat carrier would be allowed in the cabin with you for free. I expect that's changed, though. Everything has.

I'm so glad your fracture is doing well, yay!

Thanks =)

They still allow them in the cabin regardless of type of ticket for Air Canada. Unfortunately, Gremlin is too large to fit under the seat...

Maybe if you shaved him... :^)

Bad, bad EH :P

*giggle* Or dye him like a panda bear cub and then they'd let him on, I bet! :^)

Aww poor Gremlin to be left behind.
Hope you enjoy the flight!

Thanks =)
