Hmm, I think I'll do a fic where Blake is finally made to pay for all the evil things he did in the name of being good and the self-serving things he did.

And maybe one where Vila finally has to face the music for betraying everyone in Hostage and trying to dump Avon, Cally and Blake at Star One and Tarrant later, all just to save his own neck. I wonder if that went through Avon's mind in Orbit.

There are far too many fics where Avon is made to pay for his sins. You almost get the idea that he was the only one who did anything bad and the others were all his victims.

Well it's time to have a little parity. Just fair warning. If you don't feel like reading then don't. I'm going to write them anyway.

Vila...betraying everyone in Hostage and trying to dump Avon, Cally and Blake at Star One and Tarrant later..

Wow, I didn't know Vila did that. I've forgotten all these instances.

I wonder if that went through Avon's mind in Orbit.

I loved your tear-down of Orbit in one of your stories. I was never bothered by Orbit, not because Avon found what Captain Kirk insisted on in one original Star Trek episode, "I want that third alternative."

I just figured Avon moving slowly, not keeping quiet i.e. giving his position away, not finding Vila in an empty shuttle (was it that big?), etc., just showed that Avon wasn't thinking straight, i.e. didn't have a mind that anything went through at that moment. He didn't even ask Orac for alternatives, such as landing and teleporting when Scorpio came in range, or threatening to use or even using the Tachyon funnel on Servalan in defence (the TF was a weapon, wasn't it?). The screenwriter wanted one effect only: either rotten Avon or failure, so the odds were stacked against him.
If this was a real person, I don't think Orbit would have gone that way.
