I'm now in Prince Edward Island, land of potatoes, lobster and Anne of Green Gables. It's amazing to be able to stand on the coast and see such a huge body of water and know it stretches for miles. Salty sea air and red earth. The main industry of the island is potato and dairy farming and fishing.
We went over a 15km bridge between New Brunswick and PEI. About 8 minutes. In the old days, it would have taken about 3 hours by ferry.
Went to Magnetic Hill where our bus went to the bottom of the hill. Then the driver put the vehicle in neutral and the bus was 'pulled' back up to the top without benefit of engine power or anything attached to it. But of course, there is a trick to it.
Visited Anne of Green Gables national park where they've build replicas of the buildings as described in the novel.
Had a fantastic seafood dinner. Seafood chowder and a wonderful 1 lb lobster. Delicious.
We're going to Nova Scotia tomorrow to visit Peggy's Cove. That's it for now.
