Woohoo!

After an intensive push I've finally done it (well, overdone it would be more like it).

My final NaNoWriMo count = 57,399

You actually get a completion icon for finishing the challenge so here it is...

In other story-wise, I'm currently putting the polish to chapter 20 of the Wants and Needs story, so I will probably post chapter 18 sometime today.

NaNoWriMo Update

Haven't done this in couple of days. It's Day 22 of the NaNoWriMo challenge. Writing-wise I am nearing the end. Whew. I will be glad when it is finished.

Word count = 47,462

A Baker's Dozen or Day 13 of NaNoWriMo

I can't believe it. As if doing the NaNoWriMo and finishing the Wants and Needs story was not enough, I just had to go and submit a story for Catch-up week of [info]b7friday . I did "kill two birds with one stone" though. I had promised to write a story for  [info]debris4spike   which had Avon and Cally in it. Maybe it's because I can't stand having something outstanding and not finishing it.


Onto the NaNoWriMo stuff...Current count = 31,465
 
Managed to finish another chapter of the Wants and Needs story and am half-way through chapter 12. Sorry no post for that today.
 
I really do wish I could just add this story to the NaNo stuff but it just wouldn't make sense.  *sighs*

Not Quite a Dozen Day in the NaNoWriMo quest...

It was a slower day today (writing-wise) =P

 New update for NaNoWriMo count = 27,310

Also finished and posted Chapter 10 of the Wants and Needs story.

Writing keeps roll-roll-rolling along...

Days 9 and 10 of the NaNoWriMo challenge saw lots of...you guessed it...writing!

Also managed to do lots of eating. Went with my colleagues to a dimsum place for lunch Friday. Went to a bar called Citizen Cain that night which serves great poutine and frogs legs.

Okay to the writing stuff...Woohoo! I've passed the half-way mark!
NaNoWriMo count = 25,621

Also managed to finish and post chapters 8 and 9 of the Wants and Needs story (total=3,981). Things are really hopping in the story. Almost everyone is where they are supposed to be for the main action now. I am having lots of fun writing it.

And thanks to [info]jaxomsride for the idea of combining the Wants and Needs writing with the NaNo stuff. Not going to do that exactly, but have incorporated it in a different way so it will help when I run out of ideas for the NaNo story later on.

To write or not to write...is no longer the question

 Another productive day in the writing mill.
NaNoWriMo count is now 21,505

Finished and posted chapter 7 of Wants and Needs. I really wish I could add the count for the chapters I've completed since Nov 1st to the NaNo stuff. That would have upped the count by another 10,051 *sigh*

More writing count stuff

Only managed another thousand or so in the NaNoWriMo story today.
Count = 18,496

But I did finish chapter 6 of the Wants and Needs story. And am well on my way to finishing chapter 7. Really on a roll now because it's alot of fun trying to advance six different plot threads simultaneously and make sure they all get to certain points at the same time.

Writing Writing and More Writing...

Really on a roll writing-wise. Got a good routine going. Finish writing and posting chapter 5 of the current Wants and Needs story yesterday. Spent most of today upping the NaNo count. 

NaNoWriMo update for November 6 (finally got past the 1/3 mark)
Word count = 17,411

Now halfway through chapter 6 of Wants and Needs. Have to step back a bit to do some planning as the next couple of chapters are heavier in action and I'm trying to keep track of six different plot threads.

Writing progress post

I feeling very good today. Just finished chapter 5 in the current story. Going to edit it tomorrow so no post for that yet.

And word count on my NaNoWriMo story is now = 10,474

Did some boring grocery shopping. Nothing to pic-spam about. Picked up sugar and creamers for the Tim Hortons coffee drinkers at work.

Keep on Writing

 Well, either no one on my flist owns a sledgehammer (previous post), or no one is interested in helping me to not lose my mind; so I guess I'll just keep writing ;)

My NaNoWriMo count is now at 4020 words. It's amazing how much more prolific you can be when the goal is quantity, not quality. 

I think I'd better get back to writing the Wants and Needs story. Sorry guys, no post for that story today.

I should have my head examined...

* sigh* I did it. I just signed up for the NaNoWriMo. I must be out of my mind. Normally I would have no problems writing 50k words in a month. Those who've been reading some of the stories I've been writing know that it's hard for me not write at least 50k in a month. But to do that and do the NaNoWriMo? What was I thinking!! It will be my first non-B7 story. Although I couldn't get totally away from it. It will be a B7-related (kind of) story.

I do plan to continue writing the current stories while I'm doing this. And yes, they will take precedence over the NaNo stuff. Hence the "I should have my head examined..." I may hold off on doing any more challenges though. At least I'd better not do anymore. I really should not do anymore...I really really should not do anymore. Unless I get a good idea...

Any encouragement is welcome. Or maybe someone with a really big sledgehammer to stop me from writing before I go completely nuts.

Is anyone else doing the NaNoWriMo?

I am NOT a morning person and it's ...well...morning. I hate mornings. Whoever invented mornings should have their licences revoked or suffer a fate worse than death or at least receive a good reprimanding.  

I am just not prepared for mornings. They sneak up on you when you're having a really good dream and drag you into the cold light of reality.
